Raising Psychic Kids

When your child wakes up terrified in the middle of the night, unconsolable, over and over again, who do you go to? The pediatrician? I tried that. He said it was night terrors and that he'd "grow out of it". Do you talk to friends and family members about your child claiming to hear voices all night keeping her awake? Chances are, they're going to tell you to put her on meds designed for some type of mental disorder. Is your gut telling you that your child is experiencing something that pills just won't eliminate? You may have a psychic kid on your hands. I have two. They are very different in every way, including how they experience and are affected by their abilities. As parents of these exceptional children, we sometimes feel lonely with this aspect of parenting. It's not like sitting around with other parents discussing behavior issues or the latest round of strep throat floating around the school. Your child's latest ghost sighting probably isn't going to be next on the topic list at the next playdate. We keep quiet...this is why I feel so drawn to start this community. For us parents, psychic or not, to know that we aren't alone. There are other families out there parenting children having similar experiences.

I was a psychic child. My parents had nowhere to go with my claims and so did nothing...not that I blame them. What were they supposed to do? They couldn't understand. They did the best they could. I strive to learn from that and do better. I want to hear my children. I want to understand their experiences and do all I can to support their gifts.   

This community is for:

• Parents of psychic kids who have no experience with the paranormal and simply don't know what to do to help their extraordinary kids.
• Psychic parents with psychic kids looking for others to relate to, or to help other families.
• Kids (under 18) with abilities looking for other kids that can understand what they are experiencing. 
• Anyone willing to lend support to families that need answers to questions and just need to know that there are other families having the same type of experiences.
